Mission Statement

The Boys & Girls Club of Venice is one of over 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide.  Upholding guidelines for program content, delivery and quality, a growing number of Boys & Girls Clubs now provide programs over three million youth across our country and in military bases overseas.

Programs

Boys & Girls Club of Venice offers young people a range of fun and productive activities. The Club is open Monday through Friday after-school from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Research has shown that during this time of day, children are most vulnerable to gangs, violence and other risky behaviors.

Their trained, caring staff implements proven youth development strategies and creates a stable, supportive and promising environment for children and teens ages 6 to 18.  The Boys & Girls Club of Venice knows with an education, good health and job skills, our Club members can accomplish their dreams.

The Club provides diverse activities that we call Core Programs to meet the interests of all youth.  These programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers and family members, which enable them to develop self-esteem and provide them with a solid platform to reach their full potential.  The Core Programs developed and implemented in our Club are based on the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs and interests of the youth served.

With an annual membership of 4,100, the club serves over 500 youth each day, ages 6-17, and is open 50 weeks a year, five days a week during the school year and offers a ten week camp during the summer.
