High School Rudy Awards

About

In 2009, Trusted Sports, Inc. developed the High School Football Rudy Awards to recognize outstanding youth athletes – not because of their statistical performance, but because of their ability to inspire teammates, classmates and local communities.

The High School Football Rudy Awards searches for the most inspirational football players in America who best demonstrate the exemplary values of football legend Daniel ‘Rudy’ Ruettiger, the iconic figure of the classic football film RUDY.

The Awards seek to find those players who best define what Rudy refers to as the “The Four C’s”: Character, Courage, Contribution and Commitment. $25,000 in Academic Scholarships will be awarded to the Winner, two Runners-Up and a Fan Favorite.

Last year, 396 incredible young athletes from 48 states were nominated by coaches, parents and teammates for this prestigious award, and generated over 1.6 million votes from fans across the country.  Finalists are chosen by a national Selection Committee, who review twelve semi-finalists and vote to determine the final four scholarship recipients.
