My Be Wholesome Beauty Regimen

With football season complete, wedding day less than 48 hours away, launching my jewelry line, travel, balancing time with Wes, making time for fitness and beauty…Well, thousands of women can attest to how hard it is to prioritize health goals amidst the stress. However, I've committed to looking and feeling the best I’ve ever felt.  Here is my story of how I discovered be-Wholesome® for flawless skin.

I’m 31 now and along with the majority of the population, achieving the same physique I had while playing softball at The University of Florida requires a lot more effort.  This means taking care of my appearance from the inside out.

It all started when I hit 26/27.  Pimples and facial blemishes are for adolescents but all of a sudden I started to get acne on my chin and cheeks.  It was so bad and no matter what I tried, it wasn’t going anywhere.  My dermatologist suggested chemical peels and steroid creams and normally that would have been my solution to fix my skin problems.  However, my career keeps me in front of the camera.  There was no way I was going to risk having a blotchy red or peeling face in front of national television.  I couldn’t figure out why this sudden onset of acne was occurring because nothing significant in my life had changed.  The only thing I could attribute it to was hormonal changes.

After my executive physical 2 yrs ago, I started taking nutrition supplements and GNC turned me on to be-Wholesome®. Within a couple weeks of taking the supplements, I started seeing a difference, and after a month and a half, I felt like I was my old self again.

My face is clear, my nails are strong, and my hair feels thicker; to say I am a total believer is an understatement. You can try a band aid approach for beauty problems by covering the issue or trying to fix the symptom.  What reallyworks long term, is addressing the root causeand for me it was internal.  It’s a simple concept but sometimes quite easy to forget!  Supplements aren’t usually an overnight solution.  It takes time to see physical results so keep that in mind regarding your nutrition. Be patient and be MORE consistent, that is the key to results.

It may sound dorky but I use my vitamin organizer every week.  It helps me stick with my routine because all of my supplements are in my AM and PM box for the week.  A must have, especially for when I travel!  If you have trouble staying consistent, get one of these and every Sunday night, you fill it up with your pills for the week.  Set it on your sink by your tooth brush with a bottle of water and you will have no excuse to not take them everyday!

I get asked all the time what my beauty regimen is and I always say, less is more.  Here is what I do:

  • AM supplements
  • face wash 2xs/day
  • TINTED moisturizer with SPF (instead of wearing foundation everyday)
  • PM supplements at bedtime if I can’t take them with food
  • Nighttime hydration lotion (especially with traveling)

That’s it!  The simple addition of key nutrients my body was missing freed my skin of blemishesand now I can’t wait for the Big Day!
